In early 2010 my son was diagnosed with childhood ADHD. As a young single mother this was new to me and a journey that I wasn't prepared to take. But as a mother I had no other option. This is a look into my life as the mother of a young child with ADHD. I hope to be a help and inspiration to other mothers who watch their children suffer in silence.

Tip of the Day
Being a parent is hard work when you have a child who has no abnormalities, while ADHD isn't crippling or a visible disability it is still a disability in some sense. Daily tasks can often become tiresome when they should be simple. Be patient with your child and allow yourself time to breathe and relax. Try not to get frustrated and lose your temper, your child feeds off of your energy. Remain positive!
